Right of Withdrawal

Last updated · 24 April 2026

Where you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants a statutory cooling-off period for online purchases (notably the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), you have the right to withdraw from the purchase of a BeyondATS credit pack within fourteen (14) days, without giving a reason. This page explains what that means in practice and the one important exception.

1. The 14-day cooling-off period

You have fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of purchase of a credit pack to withdraw from the contract and receive a refund of the price you paid for that pack. The period starts on the day of the transaction.

You do not need to give a reason. You do not need to use a specific form, although the model form below makes it quick. Sending us a clearly-worded message through the contact form is enough.

2. The important exception — used credits

Each credit you spend triggers an instance of digital content (analysis or revision) that is delivered to you immediately. Under Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and equivalent UK legislation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content that has already been supplied with your prior consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal once supply begins.

In practical terms, this means:

  • You can withdraw from unused credits within the 14-day window and receive a pro-rata refund.
  • Credits you have already spent on an analysis or revision are not refundable, because the digital content has already been delivered.
  • By starting an analysis or a revision before the 14-day window ends, you are giving the express prior consent and acknowledgement described above for those specific credits.

Example: you buy a 20-credit Starter pack on 1 March, spend 3 credits on 2 March, and request withdrawal on 10 March. You receive a refund for the 17 unused credits at the per-credit price you paid.

3. How to exercise the right

To withdraw, send us a clear statement using the “Contact us” link in the footer of any page. You may also use the model text below — copy and paste it into the form and fill in the bracketed details.

Model withdrawal text

To BeyondATS — I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the purchase of the following credit pack: [pack name and purchase date]. Account email: [your email]. Date of this notice: [today's date].

4. Effects of withdrawal

On a valid withdrawal we will refund the unused portion of the credit pack without undue delay, and in any event within fourteen (14) days of receiving your notice. We use the same payment method you used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise; in no case will you incur fees for the refund itself.

Once a refund has been processed, the corresponding credits (or, if the entire pack is refunded, all of them) are removed from your account.

5. Free-tier credits

Free-tier credits are granted at no charge and do not fall within the scope of this right of withdrawal. They can be lost when the free tier's eligibility conditions stop being met, or when you delete your account.

6. Outside the EEA and the UK

Consumers outside the EEA and the UK may not have the same statutory cooling-off period, but we still take refund requests seriously. If you bought a credit pack and have a problem, contact us — for unused credits within 14 days we will normally refund as a matter of goodwill, regardless of where you are.

7. Questions

For anything unclear about this page, write to us via the “Contact us” link in the footer with the subject “ Withdrawal” and we'll come back to you within two business days.
